Results from the Salisbury Stingrays Open Meet – Sunday 3rd June 2018

A team of 41 swimmers travelled to Salisbury on Sunday 3rd June, 2018 to compete in Stingrays’ very popular open meet.

Wehad in excess of 180 individual swims on the day and achieved a near 70% PB success rate! A phenomenal achievement by the swimmers considering the disruption they have had to their training over the last 10 months. Between them, they achieved 15 gold, 17 silver and 14 bronze medals against some very stiff opposition.

I want to express my thanks to Steve, Andy and John who were good company during the day on poolside and helped sort out swimmers, giving them lots of encouragement before, during and after their swims. But I’m especially proud of the swimmers, who not only competed to the very best of their ability in the pool, but the way they conducted themselves on poolside throughout the day. It was a pleasure, albeit a tiring pleasure, to watch and be there with them. Well done and thank you swimmers!
